The Road To Discovery

 I will start with this:

"If a day goes by without my doing something related to photography, it's as though I've neglected something essential to my existence, as though I had forgotten to wake up"-Richard Avedon

I was born I in a small town in Germany and emigrated at the ripe ol’ age of two to the small town of McBride.  With the Rockies and Cariboos as backdrops to the beautiful Robson Valley,   I grew up loving the area.  After graduating from high school on Vancouver Island and the University College of the Rockies in Cranbrook where I obtained a certificate in Business Administration (with honours) I returned to my playground of McBride in 2006 and enrolled at the University of Northern British Columbia pursuing a commerce degree with majors in General Business and Finance. I then went on to obtain my license as a Realtor for the Robson Valley. During this time period I felt as though some integral part of me was missing; I had a deep desire to follow and explore my passion as a photographer. Finally, in 2010 I made my decision to live my dream and enroll in the Professional Photography program at Western Academy of Photography in Victoria, BC.

Thus, here I am exploring every genre of photography available to me and loving it every step of the way.

My favourite pastime is and always will be photography.I also enjoy the back-country areas whether by snowmobile, quad, horseback, hiking or skiing. I love to travel and my camera is always on hand.  In between studying I have worked in both the construction and service industries.  I speak English and German fluently, and Spanish and French passably.

I have the passion and energy to succeed in life.  Some might call me stubborn; I prefer to call myself determined and goal-oriented.  These attributes coupled with my familiarity with people and an eye for detail and art are what will deliver me to success as I live my dream being a Professional Photographer.

I like to think of myself as reliable, conscientious and honest, but you’ll have to give me call to check for yourself.  Thank-you for your interest; I look forward to hearing from you.
